{Is Brass Back?}

Just when we've almost rid our house of anything brass, it's making a comeback. For the past year designers have been mixing this metal into their designs. We found this lamp at a local consignment shop, the $5 price tag was a perfect excuse to {re}introduce and experiment with a bit of brass.

One year ago today we brought home our lovable pup from the Atlanta Humane Society! At the time we had no idea how much joy he would bring to our family ~ now we can't imagine our home without him!

With the start of the New Year, we're slowly reorganizing our kitchen and pantry. In hopes to do some Valentine's Day baking, we started with this cabinet.

{Vintage Find}

Another find from the Country Living Fair. This clipboard dates back to the early 1900's. We used a little soap and water along with Bar Keeper's Friend to clean it up.

Operation Organization 2012

{Pegboard Storage Room}

For the past year and a half we've used our mudroom for random storage. While we eventually plan to design this into a traditional mudroom, we decided to construct a temporary storage room until we're able to build a garden & tool shed.

We purchased four 4x8 pegboards from Lowes. Spray painted them a flat white. Brian secured strapping to the walls, then installed the pegboads. The hooks were purchased from our local general hardware store. We were pleased with how easy this project turned out to be!
