With the new year fast approaching we couldn't stand the thought of living with those khaki walls any longer. We took a break from project organization to paint. We're loving our new light, bright and airy living room!

Feeling refreshed after our Christmas Holiday ~ we were inspired by Amy Meier’s office design above! Wanting to create our own organizational area, we set off to Ikea for the Expedit shelving unit.

We thought it would work well in the empty space behind the front door.

To our dismay ~ we realized our measurements were off my 5”. We didn’t love that it practically stuck out past the door frame. After about an hour of debating whether or not to return the whole thing ~ we had the idea to turn the end unit 90 degrees.
